  • Enable IMAP and permit less secure apps on Gmail
  1. Launch the Gmail log-in webpage by using your default browser.
  2. Sign in to the Gmail account by entering the important information.
  3. Press on the Gear symbol located on the upper right-hand side of the screen.
  4. Choose the Settings tab.
  5. You will find this option on the pull-down menu.
  6. Change the Forwarding and POP/IMAP option.
  7. After that, choose the Enable IMAP option.
  8. You will find this option near the IMAP access.
  9. Press on the Save Changes option.
  • Creating an App-specific password
  1. Go to the Gmail Log on the webpage on the default web browser.
  2. Sign in to the Gmail account by typing the account information.
  3. After signing in to the Gmail account, go to the Google Security webpage from the default internet browser.
  4. Go to the Signing into Google option.
  5. Press on the App password option.
  6. Verify the log in option once again to move to the next step.
  7. Press on the Select app option.
  8. After that, press on the Other option, which is your custom name.
  9. Enter Outlook in the provided box.
  10. After that, click on the Generate option.
  11. It will create an application password for the device.
  12. Start copying the created 16-digit password.
  13. You need to enter the generated password to log in to the Microsoft Outlook account.

  • Go through the Microsoft Outlook Configuration
  1. Press on the Start option.
  2. Otherwise, click on the Windows key provided on the system keyboard.
  3. Find Outlook.
  4. Click on the Enter button.
  5. Press on the Advanced options button.
  6. Go through the Let me set up my account manually option.
  7. Press on the Connect option.
  8. Choose the IMAP or POP or Google on any other Windows version.
  9. Make sure that the IMAP or POP access is enabled.
  10. Start using the server details to sign in to the Microsoft Outlook account properly.
  11. After that, type the sign-in information.
  12. Enter the right details.
  13. Press on the Connect option.
  • Update the Microsoft Outlook
  1. Press on the Start option.
  2. Click on the Windows key.
  3. Find the Outlook file.
  4. Press on the Enter option.
  5. Go to the file.
  6. Press on the Office account.
  7. Press on the Update Options button.
  8. Choose the Update Now option by going to the pull-down list.
  9. It will automatically search for a new version.
