The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, one of the best comedy shows of all time, is set to return with its third installment. The latest addition to the franchise was announced way back in May 2018, even before its second season release. The fans absolutely loved it, and to no one’s surprise, the show has been nominated for 20 Emmy awards.
Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3.
  • The Premiere Date
 The third season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will start from December 6, and it will be available on Amazon Prime. The season, unlike its predecessor, will premiere on a Friday, whereas the previous seasons premiered on a Wednesday. So after the news, you should consider the first weekend of December already booked.
There was a teaser trailer of 1 minute 12 seconds released for the upcoming season. The teaser showcased Midge’s relationship with Joel changing, Suzie and Midge’s tour, Sterling’s cameo.
  • The Episode Count
While the second season of the show contained ten episodes, this one will have eight episodes. However, another good news is that this one would not be the final season for the show. It was confirmed by Amy Sherman Palladino, who is the show creator. She said that she had planned four or five seasons for the show, also with the show’s increasing popularity, it seems reasonable.
  • Any new additions in the cast?
There are going to be some new additions to the show.

  1. Sterling K. Brown will be making an appearance on the show. He was Rachels’ first choice for addition in the show.
  2. Cary Elwes who also appeared in Stranger Things 3 will appear in the show.
  3. Stephanie Hsu known for Broadway Fame will make an appearance as well.
Dan and Amy also teased that someone from their previous shows will make an appearance too.

There is only a bit of information known regarding the upcoming season. Midge said yes to an offer at the end of season 2 for being a musician for a 6-month tour. The tour will majorly cover the third season and will be a complete change of scenarios for Midge from her love interest and family dynamics explored in previous seasons.
Amy Sherman-Palladino words state that it is her first journey on her own. It is her first time setting out for a road comic. It is the first time she will be paid for doing so. She is facing consistency for the first time too. This is going to bring a twist in her story. You will definitely explore several new places in the upcoming season.
The show is taking place in New York as evident in the behind the scenes of the show.
